30th Anniversary Remembrance

This November marks 30 years since the day Michaela was kidnapped. We will be marking the anniversary with a remembrance service on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. This event will be graciously hosted by New Hope Church in Hayward, California. I want to thank the church not only for their assistance with our remembrance, but to thank the many people there who have supported Michaela, and me, with their prayers through the years.

As of this writing, we are still firming up speakers, but I will be speaking of course. Trina is the little girl who was with Michaela when she was kidnapped. She is all grown up now, of course, and she will be speaking, and will also be singing.

After the event, we will have coffee and snacks, to give us all a chance to linger and talk.

We will still be going to the location where she was kidnapped, on the day and time when she was taken, to tie yellow ribbons on the tree. This will be on Monday morning, November 19th, at 10:15 a.m., at the Mexico Super store at

There is an event page for the remembrance on Facebook. Please click on this link to let us know if you can come. It is our plan to film the event and post it, but your presence will be a gift, and I would love to see you there.

Thank you so much.

  1. Praying for a miracle I truly wish I can join you for both the church event and ribbon tying at the market parking lot. I wish I lived in Northern California not southern I would join and help you out ever year. Praying for your return sweet Michaela.

    Sincerely

  2. I live in Maryland and have been following this since day one. I would love to be there but cannot. Sharon, are you going to video the service. I am sure the people that cannot be there would like to see it.
